Caring for your MBT Footwear
Rehab Reports by Trish Scott
Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals.  Any liquids/chemicals containing salt, oil, manure, dissolvents, petrol, or acid may be harmful to your MBTs.

MBTs can be worn in the rain, but dry them thoroughly upside down.  Never leave MBTs damp for an extended period of time.
Avoid mechanical damage by protecting the heel sensor from sharp objects.
Never put MBTs in a washing machine.  Hand wash your MBTs using diluted liquid soap and a sponge.
If dirty or muddy, clean and dry immediately.

What can I do to prevent my MBT sandals from smelling bad?
Sandals are typically worn without socks.  This means that the flakes of dead skin which are rubbed off the feet from day to day do not get caught in the socks, but remain on the inner sole. Although silver thread is woven through the insole (silver has an antibacterial effect), frequent sweating can lead to an unpleasant odor depending on the chemical nature of your body's sweat.  As stated in the instructions, the sandals can be washed by hand with an antibacterial cleaning agent.  Afterwards, rinse well and allow to dry.
